Santa Ana Homes for Sale

Santa Ana, California, is the county seat of Orange County. With a population of about 325,000, it is the second most populated city in the county and the 57th most populated city in the United States. The city is located next to the Santa Ana River about ten miles from the Pacific coast. It is part of the Los Angeles - Long Beach - Santa Ana metropolitan area.

Santa Ana is the fourth more densely populated city with more than 300,000 people in the country after New York City, San Francisco and Chicago. The city encompasses 27.5 square miles, most of which is flat, low-lying plains. It is divided into several districts. Downtown is the central part of the city and has been undergoing revitalization since the 1980s. It now contains the Santa Ana Artist's Village and is home to many artists and young professionals who reside in the district's live-work lofts.
