Orange is located in Orange County, California and according to the 2010 census, the population was at 136,416. Old Towne  Orange is a vibrant commercial district and it still maintains most of its original structures built years ago. Some of the oldest structures in Orange County include a bank and a soda fountain that are still in operation since the city’s incorporation, centuries ago.  The city of Orange is unique as it has the second largest number of historic buildings in the state. Some of the architectural styles in Old Towne, Orange include Victorian architecture, Mediterranean Revival architecture, and Prairie Style architecture among others. Orange has a rich ethnic diversity, an outstanding transport system, excellent infrastructure, a remarkable housing market, shopping malls, entertainment centers, hotels, clothing boutiques, retail stores, posh restaurants, scenic tourist attractions sites such as lakes, parks and a wildlife sanctuary.

Home for sale in Orange are reasonably priced and presently, the city is constructing more affordable housing for its residents with the financial support of the Orange Redevelopment Agency.  In 2006, plans to construct an 18 unit town home project were approved. The town homes were for sale and the units were to be constructed on a former fire station site in West Orange.  This project was due for completion in early 2007. Other housing projects consisting of two to three bedroom units have already been completed. Rental Units include Harmony Creek Apartments, Villa Modena, Stonegate Senior Apartments and Alice Clark Apartments. Orange Redevelopment Agency supports affordable housing activities, economic development, redevelopment and business development.

The tough economic times greatly affected the real estate sector which led to a reduced number of home sales. The increased unemployment levels also reduced the financial ability of most residents to purchase their own homes.  Orange has various community services that resident can engage in including community gardens, which can be utilize by both residents and non-residents for a fee. The sites have water service, access paths, on-street parking and fencing.  The parks and facilities allows for residents to hold picnics and barbecues  In case a resident wants to hold a special event in one of the packs, they will require a permit from the Community Services Department.

Orange also holds numerous sports programs for the youth and adults. Some of the organizations supporting youth sports programs include American Youth Soccer Organization, North Sunrise Little League, Orange Little League, and Major League Softball among others.  The adult sports programs include the Orange Adult Basketball League and the Orange Adult Softball League. There are also swim programs, summer day camp, volunteer opportunities and much more. The Sports Center at Grijalva Park opened its doors in 2011, and it features a dance room, gym with volleyball and basketball courts and a large multipurpose room.
